Downton Abbey star Jessica Brown Findlay’s rom-com series The Flatshare is on TV tonight.
2022 saw the debut of “The Flatshare,” which boasts a remarkable 100% rating on the aggregator platform, Rotten Tomatoes.
If you missed out on watching the series when it initially aired, no need to fret! You can catch episodes 1 and 2 tonight, airing respectively at 9pm and 10pm on Channel 5.

In the highly praised TV show, Brown Findlay takes on the role of Tiffany alongside Anthony Welsh’s portrayal of Leon. These two characters, although they’ve never crossed paths before, find themselves sleeping in the same apartment.
In an unconventional arrangement, two individuals who don’t know each other share an apartment on a timetable that ensures they never cross paths. They communicate through notes left on the walls to manage their unique agreement, personal interactions, and individual lives. This summarizes the plot of the story.
Under the leadership of Brown Findlay, famed for her portrayal of Lady Sybil Crawley in Downton Abbey, The Flatshare garnered numerous favorable critiques that commended the romantic comedy for its engaging quality.

Although I might dislike it somewhat, there’s still something about it that keeps me engaged, and I find myself unable to look away from it, as expressed by Rebecca Nicholson in her review.
In a similar vein, one might speculate that it could’ve been found in Ken Loach’s trash can. However, instead of a grim narrative about homelessness, we are treated to a light-hearted comedy, as expressed by Jack Taylor from the Daily Telegraph.
In another report, Martin Carr from Yahoo! Movies described the series as follows: “It’s like a romantic comedy without social media, where handwritten notes replace online conversations, and making the bed takes priority over charging a phone before going to work.
The Flatshare episodes 1 and 2 air tonight on Channel 5 at 9pm and 10pm.
