Dover Street Market Reimagines the Nike Air Superfly

Summary:

  • Nike and Dover Street Market continue their longstanding collaboration with upcoming Nike x DSM Air Superfly
  • The sneaker is launching in three colorways: Hyper Black, Summit White, and Smoke Grey
  • All three colorways drop globally on July 10, online and in-store at DSM, priced at £90 GBP / $100 USD

This year, Nike brought back the Air Superfly to celebrate 25 years since it first hit the market, and now they’ve teamed up with their long-standing collaborator DSM to give us a fresh take on this iconic shoe! With its low profile and stylish design, the Air Superfly is the ideal blank canvas for DSM’s minimalist approach. They’ve taken this archival sneaker and given it a modern twist that I can’t wait to add to my collection!

As a gamer, I can say that the Nike x DSM Air Superfly, with its running roots, maintains essential features such as the leather upper dotted with all-over perforations. It also boasts suede accents, reflecting DSM’s fashionable impact, and sports a Hut Logo and Swoosh lock-up on the tongue, designed by Rei Kawakubo, the founder of DSM.

Known for their unique in-store displays, Dover Street Market asked Zak Group, a design agency specializing in contemporary culture, to develop custom installations for its New York, London, and Los Angeles branches. Emulating the futuristic, sports-themed design, DSM describes these store exhibits as showcasing the Nike Air Superfly as a symbol of victory, preserved at the crossroads of performance and imagination.

Starting July 10, the three color options for the Nike x DSM Air Superfly will be available at all Dover Street Market stores globally and on their online shops, each priced at approximately £90 GBP or $100 USD.
