As a long-time fan who has fond memories of spending countless quarters at the arcade, battling it out with friends in the original Double Dragon, I must say my heart skipped a beat when I heard about Double Dragon Revive! With over three decades of nostalgia under my belt, it’s hard not to get excited about this brand-new entry in the series. The HD visuals, modern controls, and environmental gimmicks are sure to bring a fresh take on an old classic, while keeping that classic feel we all know and love.
According to Arc System Works, the upcoming game titled “Double Dragon Revive” will not be available until October 2025. This means that the fresh installment of the popular scrolling beat ’em up series, which made a splash when it debuted in arcades back in 1987, is still over ten months down the line.
In a fresh chapter for the classic game Double Dragon, the new release Revive boasts stunning high-definition graphics, updated controls, interactive environments, an array of weapons, and additional features. Characters Billy and Jimmy make their comeback, joined by Marian and Yagyu Ranzo who are now playable characters in this exciting continuation.
The pre-sale for the Standard and Premium versions of the upcoming game “Double Dragon Revive” has begun! This special edition comes with an added treat – the ‘Double Dragon Dodge Ball’ mini-game. Mark your calendars, as “Double Dragon Revive” will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 23rd, 2025.
