Dive in to manage a sweet shop, serve iconic characters, and relive nostalgia in Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story
Title of the Game: Tale of the Doraemon Dorayaki Store
This delightful throwback management game immerses players in the cherished world created by Fujiko・F・Fujio’s timeless manga series. In this captivating narrative, you operate a traditional Dorayaki store, alongside the adored robot cat from your childhood, Doraemon!
Growing up with shows on channels like Hungama, Nickelodeon, and Sonic Nickelodeon, this game brought back a strong sense of nostalgia. It’s delightful to see characters I fondly remember, such as Kiteretsu, Kumada, Perman and his crew, and even Bon appearing as customers.
Without dwelling on nostalgia, the game seems genuinely enjoyable for me. It offers an opportunity to prepare Doraemon’s beloved treat, dorayaki – those delightful, sweet pancake-like cakes that I had longed for as a child. Additionally, you can manage your own shop, decorate the space, and oversee various sweets production.
You can find ingredients, use gadgets, enjoy mini-events, and more
Beyond simply managing the store, there’s also an opportunity for exciting side quests, such as hiking the mountain behind the school to collect items, encounter challenges, and employ Doraemon’s famous gadgets, like mini-Doraemon, to surmount these obstacles. This additional layer of gameplay definitely piqued my interest.
Despite the game having a higher price tag, I think it’s well worth the cost if you’re a fan, given its charming gameplay, nostalgic characters, mini-games, events, vintage gadgets, and vivid pixel-art graphics. However, I do hope they will offer a discount in the future.
The tale of the Doraemon Dorayaki Shop has been launched on both Android and Apple devices! To play, simply visit your Google Play Store or App Store to download it, priced at $14.99.
