Game developers at id Software have announced that “DOOM: The Dark Ages” is set to release in May, taking players on a journey through a medieval underworld and delving into the backstory of the powerful Slayer. This time around, the Slayer will be wielding a Saw Shield and an arsenal of weapons reminiscent of medieval torture devices. Yikes!
Similar to DOOM 2016 and DOOM Eternal, you can expect to annihilate swarms of demons using powerful firearms and heavy melee weapons such as the spiked mace and iron flail in a diverse array of large-scale sandbox environments. The upcoming DOOM will solely offer a single-player experience, enabling id to emphasize the Slayer’s backstory through a more cinematic narrative featuring cutscenes instead of codex pages.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share my excitement over the freshly released trailer for the upcoming game, DOOM: The Dark Ages! It’s jam-packed with captivating glimpses of gameplay that’ll make you yearn for more. Mark your calendars because this adrenaline-pumping title will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC starting May 15th!
