Don’t miss your first look at Stephen Graham in new Bruce Springsteen biopic
A fresh trailer is out now for the Bruce Springsteen biography movie titled “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere“. This sneak peek offers us a first glance of actor Stephen Graham appearing in the production.
In a new twist, the actor who stars in “Adolescence”, “Line of Duty”, and “Venom: The Last Dance”, Graham, takes on the role of Douglas, Bruce’s father, often referred to as Dutch.
In the trailer, his on-screen time is limited, yet there are glimpses of him – during a flashback with a younger Bruce and also seen at a bar in the current timeline, where it appears he’ll have a strained encounter with his son who is approaching him for a possible reunion.
What to Read Next
The movie centers around the story of a singer who, with fame already in his grasp and standing on the brink of becoming an enduring global icon, produced the somber and deeply intimate album titled “Nebraska“, which delved into his past and the hardships of his life as a blue-collar worker.
As a gamer, I’d put it like this: “In the role of The Boss, Jeremy Allen White steps up, while Paul Walter Hauser, known from Cruella, takes on the character of Mike Batlan, my dedicated recording engineer. We lock ourselves away in a hotel room, crafting an intimate and intentionally raw sound together.
In the series “Succession,” actor Jeremy Strong portrays Jon Landau, Springsteen’s manager and producer, whose character provides commentary throughout by voiceover about the album, the artist, and even the movie itself, as he plays a crucial role in its success.
He contends that Nebraska doesn’t revolve around earning commercial success, but serves as an exemplary portrayal of how Bruce functions as a ‘fix-it’ man, providing joy and comfort to others through the way he processes his life experiences into music.
With this album, Jon says, Springsteen “is gonna repair the entire world”.
The trailer additionally offers brief peeks into the love story between the character portrayed by Odessa Young (as Faye) and the singer, and concludes with Allen White singing the timeless ‘Born to Run’ on stage amidst a throng of people.
Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere will be released in UK and US cinemas on October 24.
The first printed issue of Digital Spy’s magazine, titled “British Comedy Legends,” is available! Grab a copy from your local newsstand or purchase online for only £3.99.
