Don’t miss this “captivating” and “compelling” new UK crime thriller from Slow Horses boss

For fans who are still reeling from the untimely end of the popular series “The Flight Attendant,” the upcoming thriller titled “In Flight” could very well strike a chord with them, given its similar airline-centric theme.

In the latest thriller from Channel 4, we find Katherine Kelly from “Happy Valley” in the lead role as Jo Conran, a single mother pushed to extreme lengths when her teenage son is falsely accused of murder.

In Bulgaria, where her child is incarcerated, Jo finds herself confronted by criminal mastermind Cormac (Stuart Martin). He threatens her, forcing her to transport illegal drugs from Bulgaria to Turkey under the ultimatum that if she doesn’t comply, her son will face dire consequences.

Created collaboratively by Adam Randall, from ‘Slow Horses’, and Mike Walden, of ‘Marcella’, the upcoming series ‘In Flight’ promises a thrilling experience (as depicted in the trailer available at the top of this article). Set to air on Channel 4 at 9pm on August 12th, this six-episode series is highly anticipated.

Alongside Kelly and Martin, the renowned actor Ashley Thomas from “Top Boy” takes on the role of Jo’s former partner, Dom Delaney, who is a Customs Officer. Bronagh Waugh steps into the character of Melanie, while Harry Cadby portrays Sonny, Corinna Brown plays Kayla and Ambreen Razia assumes the role of Zara in this production as well.

As a gamer, “In the heart-racing world of global aviation, ‘In Flight’ chronicles my tireless struggle to safeguard my loved ones amidst the tangled webs of a ruthless criminal network.” The show promises an edge-of-your-seat thriller, with action unfolding across the vibrant cities of Bangkok, Bulgaria, Istanbul, and London.

On Channel 4, the popular anthology series titled “I Am…” featuring female leads, brings back additional episodes with Nicola Coughlan from “Bridgerton” in the spotlight.

In a new development, the actress from Derry Girls collaborated with Dominic Savage to write the script for the two-part series titled “I Am Helen”. This puts her in esteemed company, as she joins an impressive list of talented actresses like Vicky McClure, Lesley Manville, Letitia Wright, and Kate Winslet, who have previously contributed by appearing in and co-writing their own episodes.

In Flight premieres on Channel 4 at 9pm on 12 August.
