The acting was also described as outstanding, making it a truly special program.
I absolutely loved this series! Each mystery is really captivating, but honestly, it’s the characters that make it so enjoyable. And once the bigger story starts unfolding, the suspense just keeps building – it’s fantastic!
Marco Giallini is fantastic as Rocco. He plays a grumpy character, but manages to make him surprisingly likable. The supporting cast also delivers strong performances.

Many viewers have drawn comparisons between this show and the popular Italian crime series *Inspector Montalbano*, which aired from 1999 to 2021. *Rocco Schiavone* started airing in 2016 and is still currently running.
One review described detectives Rocco and Salvo as dedicated, unique, and more skilled than most. They’re committed to catching criminals, but often cross the line and take the law into their own hands – a common trope in detective stories.
