Don’t miss! The Night Manager unveils explosive season 2 teaser trailer

It’s common for TV shows to take a while to share news, and then suddenly you hear a lot at once! Just after we saw the first photos from season two of The Night Manager, a short teaser trailer has now been released.

The spy series, originally based on John le Carré’s 1993 novel, was a big hit when its first season aired in 2016. However, it’s been almost ten years since then, and fans have been eagerly awaiting this new season.

Okay, so the first trailer is finally here, and it looks awesome! It follows this MI6 agent, Jonathan Pine – he’s going by Alex Goodwin now – as he jumps into a brand new mission. I’ve been waiting ages for this!

What to Read Next

Jonathan recognized someone he knew and tracked them back to Teddy Dos Santos, a Colombian businessman (played by Diego Calva). He then intends to infiltrate Teddy’s criminal organization.

The story follows Jonathan, who finds himself caught up in a dangerous scheme to arm and train a guerrilla army. During his mission, he crosses paths with businesswoman Roxana Bolaños, played by Camila Morrone.

With loyalties shifting and fracturing, Pine is in a desperate race to uncover a plot that threatens to tear a country apart. Facing betrayal from all sides, he must carefully choose who to trust and how much he’s willing to risk before time runs out, according to the story’s description.

The short, 30-second preview shows a taste of the action to come – love, exciting chases, and plenty of explosions. When Jonathan appears on screen, he coolly states, “I am the man who will not explode.”

Joining Tom Hiddleston, who received an Emmy nomination for his work in season one, are returning cast members Olivia Colman (an Academy Award winner), Alistair Petrie from Sex Education, and Noah Jupe of A Quiet Place. Douglas Hodge and Michael Nardone also reprise their roles.

Joining Calva and Morrone in the cast are Indira Varma, known for her role in Game of Thrones, along with Paul Chahidi and Hayley Squires. Georgi Banks-Davies, who directed Kaos and I Hate Suzie, is directing the project.

I’m still waiting to find out when season two is coming out, but I do know where I’ll be able to watch it! Luckily, it’ll be on BBC One here in the UK, and everyone else around the world can stream it on Prime Video. I’m so excited!

The Night Manager season 2 has no release date yet.
