Don’t miss the excellent trailer for Matt Smith and Austin Butler’s new crime thriller

The debut trailer for the film “Caught Stealing,” directed by Darren Aronofsky, featuring Austin Butler from “Elvis” and Matt Smith who was previously Doctor Who, has been unveiled, showcasing an exhilarating glimpse of the movie’s action scenes.

In the heart of urban life, I’ve learned a valuable lesson – always be wary of neighbors, particularly when they request pet-sitting favors. The recent video seems to underline this truth.

When the ex-professional baseball player Henry “Hank” Thompson, once of Butler, agrees to look after Russ Smith’s adorable feline while Russ travels to London, he remains blissfully unaware that he is stepping into a potentially perilous criminal affair.

In 1990s NYC, the film is an adaptation of Charlie Huston’s book, with Huston himself writing the script.)

The title suggests what happens, and the trailer confirms that Russ is indeed caught red-handed stealing. As a British punk, he quickly flees the scene, but this sets off a chase by all of New York’s criminal groups because Hank just happened to be in Russ’s apartment at an inconvenient time.

Keen on demonstrating his ability to deal with situations to his no-nonsense girlfriend Yvonne (Zoë Kravitz), the main character confronts Russ, who offhandedly reveals he’s stolen a substantial amount of dirty money. The sum is $4 million, precisely.

As I navigate through this tangled web of trouble, it’s none other than Russ, the relentless Russian, along with his mob associates, the Puerto Ricans, and a pair of unusually friendly Jewish criminals who happen to be Carol Kane’s kin, who seem intent on tracking me down. Even they, in their odd hospitality, invite me over for a steaming bowl of matzo ball soup.

Accompanied by The Clash hit “Should I Stay or Should I Go?”, the trailer unfolds with Hank embracing the turmoil, finding himself in the thick of intense brawls and high-speed pursuits throughout the city.

An impressive ensemble of talented actors has come together for this project, with Butler, Smith, and Kravitz being joined by Regina King, Vincent D’Onofrio, Liev Schreiber, Griffin Dunne, and the renowned rapper known as Bad Bunny, who goes by Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio in the credits.

Caught Stealing will release in cinemas on 29 August.
