For fans of legal thrillers, there are only a few remaining days to catch a ’90s classic featuring an impressive ensemble on a well-known streaming platform before it disappears from their library.
Individuals who currently possess a Prime Video subscription, or those who are new users eligible for a 30-day free trial, have until August 3rd to stream the 1992 legal drama “A Few Good Men,” starring Demi Moore, Tom Cruise, and Jack Nicholson.
Under the direction of Rob Reiner, who was also behind “When Harry Met Sally…”, and written by Aaron Sorkin, known for his work on “The West Wing” and “The Newsroom”, the movie “A Few Good Men” unfolds the story of a court-martial involving two Marines accused of murdering another at the Guantanamo base.
As a dedicated fan, I find myself drawn into the heart of “A Few Good Men.” In this captivating tale, it’s Lieutenant Daniel Kaffee (Cruise) who’s initially tasked with defending the accused. However, my superior, the sharp-witted and resilient JAG attorney, Lieutenant Commander Joanne Galloway (Moore), senses a hint of inconsistency in the narratives presented by the two defendants, stirring my curiosity about what lies beneath their words.

The cast of “A Few Good Men” features Nicolas Cage as Colonel Nathan R. Jessep, Kiefer Sutherland portraying First Lieutenant Jonathan James Kendrick, Kevin Bacon in the role of defense attorney Captain Jack Ross.
In this scenario, Lance Corporal Dawson and Private Downey, who stand accused of murder, are portrayed by actors Wolfgang Bodison and James Marshall from Twin Peaks.
The movie has been labeled as ‘Fresh’ on Rotten Tomatoes, earning a rating of 84% from 68 reviews. Critics found it to be traditionally engaging, according to Time magazine, and commended the exceptional acting performances, as noted by Rolling Stone.

The well-regarded film titled “A Few Good Men” not only garnered widespread acclaim but also proved to be a significant commercial success. It amassed a total of four Oscar nominations, among which were the prestigious categories of Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor, with Nicholson securing one of these nods.
Additionally, Jordan Peele’s initial directorial effort, “Get Out,” featuring Daniel Kaluuya and Allison Williams, will also be departing Prime. The cast includes Catherine Keener, Bradley Whitford, Caleb Landry Jones, Marcus Henderson, Betty Gabriel, and LaKeith Stanfield in various supporting roles.
Among the rare horror films to receive a nomination for Best Picture at the Oscars, “Get Out” will be streaming at 11:00 PM on Wednesday, July 30th.
