Catherine Tate’s award-winning sketch show is due to leave BBC iPlayer very soon.
From 2004 to 2007, spanning over three seasons, “The Catherine Tate Show” featured the actor in multiple roles, such as Joannie ‘Nan’ Taylor, a woman with a potty mouth, and Lauren Cooper, a teen known for her famous line “Could I be bothered?”. This show also included regular appearances by Mathew Horne and Niky Wardley from “Gavin & Stacey”, among others.
The program gave birth to several special episodes and offshoots, and managed to garner an impressive seven British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) while airing on the BBC.
If fans wish to catch the entire series of the show on iPlayer, they should act promptly, since all 21 episodes will be taken off the platform starting from 9th June.

In 2023, I was thrilled to join the excitement again as a devoted fan, when the duo reappeared for the Doctor Who’s 60th-anniversary specials. Later on, I eagerly witnessed the transformation of Tennant into Ncuti Gatwa’s magnificent Fifteenth Doctor.
As a devoted viewer, I must admit that Peter Capaldi’s stint as The Doctor was surprisingly brief, wrapping up with the season 15 finale this past Saturday. It marks the end of an era for me and many other fans.
As I stood there, stunned, I couldn’t believe my eyes when the character regenerated into none other than Billie Piper, the brilliant actress who brought Rose Tyler to life on screen.
After leaving the show, Gatwa expressed that although he knew eventually he’d return the sonic screwdriver, nothing quite prepared him for the finality of it all.
“This journey has been one that I will never forget, and a role that will be part of me forever.”
