The mystery thriller The Hunting Wives continues to be popular in the UK since it became available on ITV’s streaming service last month. Described as captivating, the show centers around a woman who gets involved with a group of dangerous and secretive socialites in East Texas, filled with drama, affairs, and even firearms.

Brittany Snow plays Sophie, a woman who relocates to a made-up town in East Texas after accidentally hitting and killing someone while driving drunk.

So, I moved to this new town with my husband, Graham, and things quickly got weird. I ended up getting noticed by this really influential woman, Margo Banks, and honestly, it pulled me into this crazy world of murder and obsession. It’s been a total whirlwind!

Since its addition to ITVX on December 28th, the show has continued to be a hit with audiences and is currently fourth among the platform’s most popular titles.

Critics loved the first season of The Hunting Wives, giving it an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 30 reviews. Common Sense Media called it “enjoyable trashy fun” with plenty of steamy scenes and surprising twists, adding that it’s boosted by a recognizable cast.

According to The Guardian, The Hunting Wives is delightfully awful – possibly the best example of ‘guilty pleasure’ entertainment ever made.

Even though I was busy, I surprisingly found myself binge-watching all eight episodes – it’s delightfully silly! As The Boston Globe put it, ‘Enjoy!’

I was checking out what other people thought of the show on IMDb, and a lot of fans felt the same way I did – they said it was totally unpredictable and super addictive, right from the beginning. Seriously, I couldn’t stop watching!

One viewer encouraged others to ignore negative feedback, explaining that the show became surprisingly engaging after the initial episodes, keeping them hooked.

Viewers had mixed reactions, with one person expressing disappointment. They were excited about the show’s cast and story, but felt it hadn’t lived up to expectations, finding it awkward and difficult to watch. They weren’t sure if the problem was the writing or the performances.
