Don’t miss! Netflix is removing James Nesbitt and Nicola Walker’s police drama ‘you HAVE to watch’

It appears that the comedy-drama series titled “Babylon,” featuring James Nesbitt and Nicola Walker, will no longer be available on Netflix in the near future.

In 2014, I found myself captivated by a Channel 4 series that chronicled a London police force striving to transform their tarnished reputation and connect with the digital world that today’s youth are immersed in.

An influential American figure is brought on board to assist with the task, butting heads with long-time employees who feel confident in handling matters independently.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share this bittersweet news: the last chance to catch the captivating movie “Babylon” on Netflix is on the 17th of August. It’s hard to believe that it’s only been a year since this masterpiece made its streaming debut!

Currently, you can’t find it streaming anywhere else, but fear not! There are just a handful of episodes to enjoy before catching up.

Apart from Nesbitt and Walker, this show features a large ensemble cast, including Brit Marling from “A Murder at the End of the World,” Paterson Joseph known for “Wonka,” Jill Halfpenny who was in “Waterloo Road,” Nick Blood from “The Day of the Jackal,” and Daniel Kaluuya, famously seen in “Black Panther.

The show was developed by Danny Boyle (from 28 Years Later), Jesse Armstrong ( Succession), Sam Bain (Peep Show), and Robert Jones.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the show has a score of 74% positive from 19 critic reviews.

As a dedicated enthusiast, I can’t help but share my excitement when I discover a must-watch gem, and “Babylon” is precisely that! It’s a rare find, reminiscent of “The Wire,” yet infused with the wit and humor of “In the Loop” and “The IT Crowd.” So, don’t hesitate, add it to your watchlist!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, this series is definitely worth seeking out and enjoying, while Vulture described it as incredibly enjoyable yet still thought-provoking.

Babylon is available on Netflix until 17 August.

The latest print edition of Digital Spy has arrived! Grab a copy of “Oasis – Live in ’25” from your local newsstands or online for only £8.99.
