Don’t miss: Kit Connor’s “breathtaking” new movie has been quietly added to Prime Video
Kit Connor’s new movie Warfare was quietly added to Prime Video in the UK over the weekend.
This war movie features a strong ensemble cast, such as the actor from “Heartstopper,” together with Joseph Quinn from “Stranger Things” and Will Poulter known for his work in “The Bear.” The film is written and directed by Alex Garland, who has previously worked on films like “28 Days Later” and “Ex Machina,” and Ray Mendoza, a former US Navy SEAL.
Drawing inspiration from Mendoza’s actual experiences, the film narrates the story of a platoon engaged in the Iraq War of 2006, leading them on a mission across hostile insurgent territories.

The show titled “Warfare” was met with favorable initial responses, and managed to secure a 93% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a rating that it has retained since its debut.
In our four-star review for Warfare, we stated: “The film offers no tranquil moments; it is relentless in its intensity. There are no conventional scenes of tension relief or heroic shots that turn the tide – instead, it’s a continuous barrage of stimulation as the platoon embarks on an evacuation mission.
Perhaps the most striking aspect of the novel ‘Warfare’ lies in its portrayal of the characters as seemingly ordinary, such that it’s easy to imagine any young man caught up in a conflict he didn’t initiate.
Our review notes: “It strips away the comfort of believing that a particular character is invincible. The protagonist isn’t clearly defined, as this is more reflective of real-world circumstances where there’s no obvious hero.
In other places, Inverse commented: “Not many American war films create the heart-stopping suspense like Warfare does.” On the other hand, Empire noted that the movie’s strength lies in its straightforwardness.
Amazon Prime Video is included in an £8.99 Amazon Prime membership, but there’s also the option to subscribe just for streaming at £5.99 per month. Both new and returning users might be eligible for a free trial period.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that actors Connor and Poulter are collaborating once more on a horror film called “Rapture”.
Warfare is now available to stream now on Prime Video.
The inaugural print issue of “Digital Spy” titled “British Comedy Legends” is available! Grab a copy from your local newsagent or purchase it online for only £3.99.
