Don’t expect The Bear season 4 to start filming any time soon
As a dedicated gamer and TV enthusiast with over two decades of viewing under my belt, I can confidently say that “The Bear” has become one of my all-time favorite shows. The way it masterfully intertwines drama, comedy, and the culinary world is nothing short of genius. It’s a unique blend that keeps me on the edge of my seat each week.
After finishing Season 3, it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer for Season 4 of The Bear! Learn more here!
People may still argue whether The Bear is essentially a drama or a comedy, but it’s undeniable that it’s currently one of the most popular TV series around. This FX/Hulu production centers on Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), who returns to his Chicago home after the demise of his brother (Frank Grillo). He aspires to transform their family sandwich shop into a fancy restaurant, gathering a group of individuals to assist him in this endeavor.
Ever since its debut, the series has been widely praised for its exceptional cast, impressive guest appearances, and captivating narrative that delves into Carmy’s personal struggles while inspiring everyone, including himself, to strive for greatness. It has garnered numerous prestigious awards, with White receiving an Emmy, Golden Globe, and SAG Award, among others, and many more accolades for the rest of the cast.
Season 3 had Carmy finally opening the Bear restaurant yet discovered how tough keeping it open was while obsessed with turning it into an award-winning destination. That drove off some folks and showed Carmy’s inner turmoil.
It appears that White could potentially win an Emmy again for his role, and viewers are eagerly anticipating Season 3. However, it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer for its release.
When would The Bear Season 4 start filming?
Speaking with Esquire, White disclosed that the series’ production is actually delayed rather than ahead of schedule. Contrary to speculation that they simultaneously filmed Seasons 3 and 4, White’s statements suggest this isn’t the case, and it appears the show won’t resume filming until 2025.
I’m not sure exactly when. I know it’s not going to be until next year. I imagine sometime early next year, a similar start date to the last couple of years: February/March time.
Season 4 might not debut on our screens before late 2025, or perhaps even early 2026. This lengthy wait could be because the actors and writers have packed schedules, and they prefer to spend more time crafting the new season carefully.
White didn’t share much on what Season 4 is about but talked about what he hopes will happen. That includes how he’d love to see Sam Rockwell as a guest star and praised creator Chris Storer on his instincts in casting.
And that’s one of the joys of being on the show – Chris loves to have people around who are inspirations to him outside of Hollywood and acting, and sometimes they walk in front of the camera and it always works. Always. It’s incredible. I think Chris has a sixth sense about these kind of things – he knows exactly who to put on the show. We’ve been so lucky so far, and I’m hopeful we will have some more familiar faces in the next season.
Fans of “The Bear” must hold their patience until 2025 for fresh episodes, but the anticipation is surely justified as we continue with this outstanding series.
The Bear seasons 1-3 are streaming on Hulu.
