Matlock is not just a revival; it’s set in a universe where the original series was merely a fictional TV show. The protagonist, instead of being called Matlock, goes by Kingston as a disguise. She adopts the name to help her investigate the death of her daughter and uncover the truth behind the circumstances.

So far, the series has been doing exceptionally well and was the first to secure a renewal for the season. However, there’ll be a pause in its airing schedule tonight, on Thursday, November 21st. We can’t wait to see more episodes!

A Christmas Story“, a tale that revolves around a woman who decides to abandon her Christmas plans upon learning about her beloved pet’s illness.

8 p.m. ET/PT marks the beginning of the show, leaving no time slot available for an episode of Matlock. As CBS concludes their Thursday night lineup with reruns of its comedy shows, it follows that there won’t be a fresh episode of Elsbeth airing either.

When will Matlock return with new episodes?

How much longer is this hiatus going to last? It’s slightly extended than we had anticipated, but for a valid reason. Instead, there won’t be a new episode next Thursday; it will be because of Thanksgiving. Broadcasting fresh episodes on Thanksgiving doesn’t make sense for networks since people tend not to watch live TV during family gatherings or while watching Thanksgiving football.
