Domenica Calarco’s Pregnancy Update: Hospitalized and Embracing Solo Parenthood!

Domenica Calarco, a cast member from Married At First Sight, has given her followers an update on her progress during this challenging phase of her pregnancy.

31-year-old woman proudly displayed her expanding belly in a new Instagram post, announcing to her followers that she is now 16 weeks pregnant.

’16 weeks with my little baby bear’ she wrote in the caption alongside the image.  

Earlier, it was disclosed that Dom had fallen ill during pregnancy and required hospitalization, as she is expecting her first baby.

In an Instagram Stories Q&A, I enthusiastically shared that I’ve had to visit the hospital twice because of my thyroiditis troubles.

> She mentioned that she had visited the hospital on two occasions during her first trimester, once due to fluid-related issues and another time to keep an eye on the baby while her thyroiditis was most severe.

Additionally, Dom mentioned she had shed around 13 pounds during her pregnancy because of an illness, and expressed concerns about potential criticism concerning this weight loss.

She stated, “I shed around 13 pounds, yet I feel quite hollow at the moment. Consequently, I’m attempting to gain more weight and consume as much food as possible, even though my appetite isn’t what it used to be. This is an adventure for me.

Dom recently confirmed she will be a solo parent, days after announcing her pregnancy.

On Sunday, Domenica explicitly told Daily Mail Australia that she intends to raise her child alone, following the speculation about the end of her relationship.

She expressed great enthusiasm for the upcoming phase in her life, feeling strongly empowered as she embarks on motherhood according to her own choices, she declared.

On the popular TV show’s ninth season in 2022, Domenica openly expressed her eagerness and commitment to fully immersing herself in this new experience.

‘Taking a brief absence while focusing on my most significant project…my baby, as she recently announced her pregnancy on a social media post.’

She added: ‘Due September 2025 #pregnancyannouncement #pregnant.’

The first person stated, ‘Congrats! It seems you’ve chosen to embark on this journey independently, without a partner, making you a proud single mother.’ The second inquired, ‘By any chance, who is the baby’s father?’

Lately, the stylish brunette has voiced her thoughts on a TikTok post by popular figure Sasha Morpeth, who was talking about a distressing split-up. She responded with, ‘I’m right there with you, ugh.’

They made their relationship official on Instagram in September, following the revival of their romance, as Domenica’s marriage within Married at First Sight to Jack Millar fell apart.

On Bumble in the year 2021, Domenica and Jarod first crossed paths. Before she landed a role on Australia’s highly-rated TV series, she went out on a date with him.

The timing wasn’t quite right, she later revealed, and they went their separate ways.

Years later, they bumped into one another at a boxing gym Pad Flow in Sydney, and reconnected.

In her Instagram Stories, Dom revealed she was 14 weeks pregnant. Jarod was absent from the post.

Just last October, Domenica expressed to Daily Mail Australia that the universe had provided her with a wonderful partner, as she shared the details of their relationship.

‘Jarod has the best smile in the world,’ she said. ‘Whenever he smiles at me, I melt.’

What a wonderful experience it is to encounter someone during this phase of my life, having just emerged from a particularly challenging stretch.

Jarrod remained supportive throughout,” she added, speaking about the duration when she was in the hospital focusing on her mental health following a highly publicized falling out with her co-host Ella Ding on their podcast.

‘He didn’t run away. We actually got closer during that time,’ she confessed.

Domenica said she will not be commenting further on her relationship status during her pregnancy.

She wrapped up by stating that she currently has no further comments regarding the topic, expressing gratitude for the consideration of her personal space during this thrilling transition phase in her life.
