On a Friday, the venerable figure in country music, aged 79, made an appearance on stage at Dollywood unexpectedly, marking the beginning of the theme park’s 40th anniversary celebration.

In Nashville, Tennessee, where their paths initially crossed back in 1964, Dean breathed his last at the age of 82 on March 3rd. It was here that they exchanged vows exactly two years after their first meeting.

She shared with the crowd, “I’ll forever cherish him, and there’s a void without him, yet I feel it’s important for you to understand – my affection for you remains unwavering.

Next, she shared a sneak peek into the appearance of the amusement park during the upcoming season, mentioning that they had completed numerous renovation tasks and new improvements.

A week ago, she unveiled a heartfelt song titled “If You Hadn’t Been There,” which was inspired by her late loved one, along with an old picture of her and Dean during their early years of matrimony as the album art.

In her post, she shared that she fell in love with Carl Dean at the age of 18. Since then, we’ve cherished and appreciated 60 wonderful years together.

‘Like all great love stories, they never end. They live on in memory and song,’ she continued.

‘He will always be the star of my life story, and I dedicate this song to him.’
