Dolly Parton delays her Las Vegas concerts due to ‘health challenges’

Dolly Parton has postponed six shows at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas originally scheduled for December because of health issues.

The country singer announced on social media that she’s facing health challenges and needs medical procedures, but didn’t share details. As a result, she’s postponed her concerts scheduled for December 4th through 13th.

The singer announced on social media that she has to postpone her concerts in Las Vegas. The 79-year-old explained she’s been having some health issues and needs to undergo a few medical procedures. She joked that it felt like a major tune-up, though not the kind involving cosmetic surgery.

Dolly Parton explained she needs some time to prepare before returning to performing, wanting to deliver a show her fans will truly enjoy. She reassured everyone that her health isn’t a major concern, saying she has no plans to retire as long as she feels guided to continue. However, she believes she needs to rest and pace herself now so she can be ready for whatever comes next.

She finished writing the note with a heartfelt “I love you and thank you for understanding.” This message comes after the recent passing of her husband, Carl Dean, who was 82 years old. They had been married for almost six decades.

If you already bought tickets for the original date, they’ll be valid for the new date once it’s announced. If you’d prefer, you can also get a refund.
