Doja Cat stuns fans with unrecognizable appearance in new selfie

As a seasoned music enthusiast with a keen eye for emerging talent, I must say that Doja Cat has certainly caught my attention with her recent moves. The cryptic foot tattoo and the apparent track list hint at new music on the horizon, which is exciting news for her legion of fans.

Grammy Award-winner Doja Cat is known for her bold makeup, fierce style and bleach blond pixie cut.

However, the 29-year-old vocalist left her followers puzzled when she posted a fresh selfie on X (previously known as Twitter) on a Thursday.

In a different look, Doja Cat (originally Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini) was nearly untraceable, sporting a natural face and a stylish blonde bob wig instead of her usual glamorous appearance.

She also had on a pair of brown metal frame glasses and either a white blouse or a silk pajama top.

The Kiss Me More hitmaker smiled for the photo, which was taken from the chest up.

Onlookers were taken aback by the change in Doja, as someone humorously remarked that she now exudes an attractive and professional office ambiance.

Many compared her new toned down appearance to that of a ‘realtor’ or ‘librarian.’

Others mocked her by calling her a ‘Karen,’ a term that refers to a self-entitled American white woman, or in another reality, resembling Vice President Kamala Harris.

Doja also received a ton of praise for displaying her ‘natural beauty’ on social media.

One user commented that this seems like a very authentic representation of Doja Cat – similar to how she might appear in everyday life, making her seem more relatable and human-like.

Since Doja Cat posted the selfie without any accompanying text, it sparked curiosity among her fans, leading them to speculate whether the picture could be a sign of her upcoming musical phase.

The singer last released a studio alum, titled Scarlet, in September 2023.

Doja’s shock selfie comes just weeks after she used Instagram to reveal a cryptic new foot tattoo.

She shared a photo dump featuring the fresh new ink on her foot prominently on November 12.

Doja recently got a large, red-colored tattoo that spells out ‘RED’ in capital letters on the upper part of her right foot.

She definitely kept on theme as she sported dark red shiny lacquer on her toenails.

Doja Cat didn’t elaborate further about the significance of her tattoo; instead, she merely labeled it for her nearly 24 million fans as “red 5.

Despite her most ardent supporters being perplexed, they questioned the significance of the tattoo, with one commenting: “Come on now, reveal your upcoming single, Doja!

Instead of disregarding whatever was displayed in the gallery, they opted to address someone by saying, “Hey, how are you today?

Ultimately, another enthusiast humorously questioned the pictures, yet appeared to generate more queries than responses, commenting with a touch of bewilderment: “Are those toes?

The gallery began with an extreme close-up of her face as she had a wide smile.

People speculated whether ‘Red’ might be the title of her fifth full-length studio album, or perhaps a brand-new single.

Regardless of her social media activity from the day before, it seemed clear that new music might be forthcoming.

Doja took to X that Monday to post what appeared to be a track list, according to Billboard.

Based on images shared on social networking sites, it appears there are thirteen potential song titles: “Break My Heart,” “Take Me Dancing,” “Ain’t No News,” “Anything,” “Slow Burn,” “Turn the Lights On,” and “Appreciation.

Following the removal of the playlist, the resident of Los Angeles posted a fresh batch of enigmatic tweets containing phrases like ‘My Life Is My Life My World My Life’ and ‘5 Love Languages’. She mentioned that ‘the songs aren’t in any specific sequence. I’ve marked my favorites with a star.’

The post appeared to be connected to song titles marked in the initial removed post, such as: Cards, Acts of Kindness, Fake It Out, Did I Deceive, and Break.
