In the new installment, original actors such as Connie Nielsen, RZA, Colin Salmon, Gage Munroe, Paisley Cadorath, and Christopher Lloyd return to their roles, while John Ortiz, Colin Hanks, and Sharon Stone are added to the cast.

At the time of its debut, it didn’t garner overwhelmingly positive feedback from critics, setting a high bar for its upcoming sequel.

As a fervent movie enthusiast, it’s exciting to learn that initial critiques place “Nobody 2” with an impressive 83% score on Rotten Tomatoes! Notably, the first film in the series also boasts a high rating of 84%.

Here is what the critics are saying about the eagerly anticipated sequel…

Empire

In a more relaxed rephrasing, we could say: Jimmy Odenkirk continues to deliver thrilling violence as an aging action star, but the narrative of this sequel could use some improvement.

San Francisco Chronicle

In a more light-hearted, brighter, and significantly more intense manner compared to its previous installment, “Nobody 2” raises the stakes when it comes to cinematic action.

Variety

The Hollywood Reporter

The unexpected factor seems lacking in the sequel, which unfortunately lessens its impact, yet the clever and straightforward idea conceived by screenwriters Derek Kolstad and Aaron Rabin still offers a good deal of entertainment.

The Wrap

It’s reminiscent of a National Lampoon film with Chevy Chase portraying a serial killer, and director Timo Tjahjanto delivers this concept at breakneck speed.

HeyUGuys

In terms of an action-comedy genre, it offers numerous chuckles, gasps, and shocking instances that leave you questioning, “Did they really just do that?” However, it seems more like a repetition than a groundbreaking development. Despite my enjoyment while watching it, I can’t help but echo the words of Carly Simon – nobody does it quite as well.

AV Club

In the sequel of Nobody, despite the continued power behind each punch, the humor they aim to deliver falls flat as a stale dad joke, one that’s been repeated so often it no longer carries any impact or amusement.
