Doctor Who’s Ncuti Gatwa teases hair transformation

As a devoted fan of Doctor Who who’s been following this series since its inception, I must say that Ncuti Gatwa’s transformation has left me utterly spellbound! The fact that he’s not just portraying but living the role of the Fifteenth Doctor is nothing short of magical.

Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa has teased and unveiled a hair change.

As a devoted fan, I’ve noticed that the actor portraying the Fifteenth Doctor has been sporting a new, blondish look lately. This week, he shared on his Instagram Stories that he’s currently undergoing a change.

Showing him sitting in a salon chair while his hair is being dyed, the actor and his hairstylist appear emotional as Gatwa utters: “Stay strong, stay strong,” followed by them both breaking into laughter.

“Saying goodbye to the blonde is always a sad day,” Gatwa captioned the post.

The actor was later photographed on the red carpet at a London event with black hair.

This year, Gatwa made his debut with the first season of “Doctor Who,” and he’s currently gearing up for a performance at the London stage in the National Theatre’s reprise of “The Importance of Being Earnest.

The star is set to feature in the show, joining forces with Hugh Skinner from “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again”, Sharon D Clarke and Ronkẹ Adékọluẹjọ́ who have both appeared on “Doctor Who”, as well as Eliza Scanlen, known for her role in “Little Women”.

The performance is scheduled to take place between November and January, but cinema-goers can catch it starting from February, as part of the National Theatre Live program.

In July, Madame Tussauds unveiled a wax figure of Gatwa and shared a video showing him reacting to his replica.

He exclaimed, “That’s fantastic!”, further stating, “I can’t comprehend how you managed it. It’s simply outstanding; it’s genius-level good!

The showrunner of Doctor Who, Russell T Davies, was equally impressed with the model and exclaimed, “You’ve perfectly embodied him. It’s not only about resemblance, but his very essence is present. His spirit shines through him.

In the United Kingdom, you can watch Doctor Who on BBC One, while it airs on Disney+ everywhere else. For those in the UK, classic episodes of Doctor Who can be found on BBC iPlayer.
