Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa has landed an exciting new role elsewhere with the BBC.
The actor portraying the Fifteenth Doctor in the science fiction show is presently broadcasting the second complete season of his tenure as the Time Lord.
This year, it’s officially been announced that Gatwa will be the one to announce the United Kingdom’s National Jury results during the Eurovision Song Contest.
On May 17th, the star will step forward as the host for the Grand Final, following a Eurovision-themed episode of “Doctor Who” that airs earlier in the day.
This upcoming episode boasts appearances by Rylan Clark and Graham Norton, with the main subject being the Intergalactic Singing Competition where various planets vie for supremacy throughout the cosmos.

Previously, Rylan expressed that receiving the opportunity to work on ‘Doctor Who’ was a long-held dream of his.
He mentioned that the upcoming episode combines everything I love about the series, including a space-themed song competition. He expressed his excitement, stating it’s like a dream come true. He can hardly wait for people to watch it, as he believes it will be absolutely spectacular.
In the actual Eurovision contest this year, the United Kingdom will be participating with the band Remember Monday and their song titled ‘What The Heck Just Occurred?’.

The team has shared that they are disregarding the betting odds in the UK, as member Holly-Anne Hull clarified to Metro: “We’re not competing for points. We’re participating to rewatch our progress at that point and feel incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished.
Charlotte Steele noted, “If you examine Eurovision’s past, you’ll see many winners who were ranked quite low by bookmakers. This doesn’t necessarily signify anything.
Before the grand finale, I’m thrilled to share that there’s a unique special coming up! On the 9th of May, you’ll find me having an engaging chat with Remember Monday, and it’ll be broadcasted by BBC!
1. The final round of Eurovision 2025 will occur on May 17, a Saturday.
2. In the United Kingdom, Doctor Who airs on BBC One, while it can be found on Disney+ elsewhere.
3. For those in the UK, classic episodes of Doctor Who can be accessed through BBC iPlayer.
