Doctor Who star Rylan Clark has called for the show to be ‘saved’ amid questions about its future.
In simple terms, it’s been since May that the science fiction series on BBC has not been broadcast. During this time, Ncuti Gatwa, who played the Fifteenth Doctor, finished his run in the show after two seasons. He then underwent a transformation, or regeneration, and was replaced by Billie Piper in the role.
After that point, there hasn’t been much news regarding whether the series will go on, leaving fans worried since neither the BBC nor Disney have officially announced a renewal yet.

Rylan made an appearance in season 2 episode titled ‘The Interstellar Song Contest’ as himself, and he also spoke at the Edinburgh TV Festival together with Russell Tovey, who stars in the new Doctor Who spin-off, The War Between the Land and the Sea.
The presenter stated (as reported by Radio Times) that they both share a common passion – an intense enthusiasm and fandom towards “Doctor Who.” Following this, they expressed a desire for the show to continue.
As a dedicated enthusiast, I can’t help but express my passion for the iconic British series, “Doctor Who”. It’s a cultural staple we simply cannot do without. I’ve been captivated by this remarkable show ever since its reincarnation in 2005 with Christopher Eccleston at the helm, and every episode since then has been an absolute delight for me. Let’s ensure “Doctor Who” continues its journey through time!
In simpler terms, the showrunner, Russell T Davies, recently spoke about the series’ uncertain future, acknowledging that although he believes it will continue indefinitely, he remains unclear about its current status.
In Doctor Who Magazine, he penned down that as of now, things remain unclear and he is temporarily stepping back from writing, allowing everyone time to sort it out.
Davies mentioned that we might hear some updates shortly, and hinted at intriguing possibilities ahead. He also alluded to the enigma surrounding Billie’s fiery farewell, ‘Ah, there’s Billie!’
