Fans were surprised by the noticeably different appearance of Dominic Purcell, Miley Cyrus‘ Australian stepfather and star of Prison Break. He’s sporting a very rugged new look.
The 55-year-old actor-best known for his role as Lincoln Burrows in the popular Fox television series-recently posted a selfie highlighting his noticeable physical change.
Previously recognized for his shaved head, stubble, and muscular build, Dominic now sports a distinguished silver fox look, complete with a full, white beard and a more comfortable body shape. He’s embraced a makeover, trading his former appearance for a more relaxed and mature style.
The actor instantly looked thoughtful while posing for a photo in a black T-shirt. His hair, a mix of grey and dark shades, was neatly combed back, and his beard was prominently displayed.
This new appearance is a far cry from the strong, sharply-defined image that fans recall from his time on Prison Break.
His wife, Tish Cyrus, 58, has playfully teased him about his new, tougher image. She jokingly commented on one of his posts: ‘I have no idea who this is?!? Bring my husband back.’
Dominic was born in England in 1970 and moved to Australia when he was two years old.
In 2023, he wed his partner, Tish, which created a meaningful link between her famous daughter, Miley, and Australia.
The American singer, 32, gained four Aussie step-siblings after her mother married Dominic.
The actor, who was born in England, started seeing Tish in July 2022, only three months after her divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus was finalized.
In April 2023, Tish announced that she and Dominic were engaged. She shared two adorable photos showing off her diamond engagement ring.
Dominic and his former wife, Rebecca Williamson, who separated in 2008, have four children together: Joe, 25, Audrey, 24, and 22-year-old twins, Lily-Rose and Augustus.
And the talented siblings have a lot in common with the pop icon.
It seems Joe is taking after his father and pursuing a career in acting. He recently starred in the short film Shellbound, which was penned by his sister, Audrey.
He also starred in the 2025 mini-series His Nerd.
The couple got married in a small, private ceremony in Malibu, California, only four months after getting engaged.
People began speculating about a potential romance between the two after she reacted to one of his Instagram posts with several heart emojis and a message saying, ‘Hi Babe‘.
Tish and her former husband, Billy Ray, got married in 1993. They separated and reconciled twice before ultimately divorcing in 2022.
The former couple share five children: Miley; Trace, 36; Brandi, 38; Braison, 31; and Noah, 25.
