As the movie nears its 15th anniversary—either November 14th or 24th, depending on how Disney chooses to mark the occasion—it’s seeing a renewed boost in popularity.

Directed by Nathan Greno and Byron Howard, *Tangled* is a Disney movie inspired by the classic story of Rapunzel. It follows Rapunzel, a princess with incredibly long, magical blonde hair, and Flynn Rider, a charming thief. After years locked away in a tower, Rapunzel ventures out into the world with Flynn, while trying to avoid the clutches of the manipulative Mother Gothel. Despite costing a substantial $260 million to produce – making it one of the priciest animated films ever made – *Tangled* was a hit with audiences, earning over $590 million globally. Is a Live-Action Tangled Remake in the Works?
