Disney's sizzle reel for Disney+/Hulu in 2025 offers peeks at Andor and more!

As a die-hard fan who has spent countless hours streaming content on Disney+, I must say that the 2025 slate revealed by Disney is nothing short of a dream come true! The return of favorites like “Andor,” “The Handmaid’s Tale,” and even “Percy Jackson” has me jumping with joy. And let’s not forget about the new shows, such as “Daredevil: Born Again,” “Ironheart,” and the long-awaited “Alien: Earth.

Disney recently gave a sneak preview of its 2025 lineup on Hulu and Disney+, and it looks absolutely thrilling with some exciting new content!

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve noticed that Disney has been grappling with some challenges when it comes to their streaming service, Disney+. It seems they’ve faced hurdles in attracting new subscribers, managing budgets, and the contentious move to pull numerous shows off the platform. Interestingly, this isn’t just an issue for Disney+; Hulu has faced similar struggles, albeit with a slight advantage due to the involvement of more studios in airing their past content and films.

The situation seems to be improving for Disney, as they merge their two streaming platforms into one and are also partnering with HBO. Disney appears to be gearing up with a fresh approach, as a new “sizzle reel” marking the fifth anniversary of Disney+ has given us a sneak peek at their 2025 TV lineup, featuring early glimpses of some highly anticipated projects!

Returning favorites are hot

The sneak peek showcases previews of several popular returning TV shows, with “Andor” being one of the standouts as it returns for its last season in the highly-praised Star Wars series. It appears that the action and suspense of the storyline will intensify, and an April release date has been announced.

Additionally, the last season of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” the critically acclaimed dystopian drama featuring Elizabeth Moss, is on its way. With today’s political landscape, it could be argued that the series has never been more pertinent, and its finale promises an unexpected twist.

Additionally returning is “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” set to bring the second book of this beloved series to life as Percy and his companions tackle a new divine predicament. Following its success with several Emmy awards, “The Bear” will also resume for Season 4, while “Goosebumps” makes a comeback with David Schwimmer spearheading an exciting new narrative.

New shows are going to be epic

The reel also shows the new series that will be coming to the streamers. First, Marvel fans are excited to see Daredevil: Born Again with Charlie Cox returning as The Man Without Fear, facing new enemies. There’s also Ironheart, focusing on the female inventor crafting her own suit of armor to help those in need.

As a dedicated gamer, let me tell you about an exciting piece of news that has me pumped – it’s none other than “Alien: Earth,” the long-awaited TV show inspired by the legendary sci-fi series. This prequel is set 30 years before the first Alien movie, and from what I gather, we’re in for a thrilling ride as a crew of space explorers stumble upon those terrifying Xenomorph creatures. It also delves into the origins of the franchise’s iconic androids, promising an intriguing backstory to complement the heart-pounding action!

As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that Glen Powell, who has solidified his place among Hollywood’s elite actors, is venturing into the realm of television with the hilarious new series titled “Chad Powers“. In this role, he portrays a charismatic college football quarterback whose reckless actions lead to his expulsion from a Division I school. Despite being barred, his unquenchable passion drives him to disguise himself as an awkward freshman and attempt to regain stardom at a small Southern university.

In a drama reminiscent of the Natalie Grace case, the television series starring Ellen Pompeo from “Grey’s Anatomy” tells the story of an American family who adopted an Ukrainian orphan with dwarfism, but later alleged that the girl was actually an adult deceiving them.

In the series “Paradise,” Emmy-winning actor Sterling K. Brown portrays the chief of security for a past president, and there’s a suggestion that he may be embroiled in a dangerous murder investigation.

It appears that Disney+ is planning an extravagant celebration as they mark their fifth anniversary, aiming to make 2025 a standout year for their streaming service.
