Recent news about Disney’s upcoming anime series, featuring its famous villains, has everyone wondering if it will be renewed. The announcement shared details about what’s coming next as fans continue to follow its progress towards its 2025 release.
Disney Twisted-Wonderland the Animation renewed for Season 2
Disney+ officially announced on X (formerly Twitter) that a second season is coming! They also reminded fans that new episodes of the first season are released weekly on both Disney+ and Hulu. The announcement included a short teaser featuring clips from the current season, specifically the episode that premiered on October 29, 2025.
The latest preview takes an unexpected turn when we finally see Leona Kingscholar animated, with Yuichiro Umehara providing his voice. The clip also confirms that production is underway for Season 2, which is called ‘Episode of Savanaclaw’.
The new anime is based on the popular mobile game Twisted-Wonderland, which features reimagined Disney villains as handsome students at Night Raven Academy. The first season, consisting of eight episodes, is still available to watch online while the creators work on the next part of the story.
I was so excited to see a post on the series’ official social media saying they’re actually in production on Season 2, specifically the ‘Episode of Savanaclaw’! It’s been a while since Disney announced the renewal back in October, and this is the first real update we’ve gotten. They also confirmed then that the anime will cover three major story arcs from the game, one season each, which is fantastic news for fans like me!
I’m so excited for more episodes! I’ve heard Season 1 will have four, and Season 2 is going to adapt the Savanaclaw storyline from the game and manga – that’s one of my favorites! It sounds like they’re already working on it, having started production right after Season 1 came out. We don’t have a release date yet, but knowing they’re already on it gives me hope we won’t have to wait too long to see Yu continue their journey at Night Raven Academy.
Aniplex produces the anime and streams it exclusively on Disney+ worldwide.
