
Disney’s live-action remake of Robin Hood has received a disappointing update.
Director Carlos López Estrada recently revealed during a Reddit Q&A that the remake, which began development in 2020, has been cancelled. This means Disney has put the project on hold years after it was initially announced. Here’s what he said:
Unfortunately, the project is no longer moving forward. I’m disappointed because I genuinely believed it had something unique and special to offer, and we’d developed some amazing music for it. I still often imagine revisiting the idea on my own, perhaps with a different approach and characters.
