Disneyland to roll out exclusive line-skipping pass. Here’s what it costs
As a seasoned Disneyland enthusiast with countless memories etched into my heart, I must admit that the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass has piqued my interest! After years of patiently waiting in lines to enjoy the magic of each attraction, the prospect of skipping them is nothing short of revolutionary.
Are you looking to minimize wait times at Disneyland attractions? How much would you be prepared to spend to enjoy this convenience?
At Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, they’ll introduce a pass called the Lightning Lane Premier, which gives a select number of guests the chance to bypass queues on all 24 Lightning Lane attractions at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Unlike traditional passes, customers won’t need to reserve a particular time to ride; instead, they can access the front of the line whenever they choose throughout their visit.
The cost? $400 per person.
Apart from the base cost of admission, which is $104 for a single-park ticket during less crowded weekdays, you’ll also need to consider additional expenses.
As a movie-goer eagerly anticipating the release of my next cinematic adventure, mark your calendars for October 23rd! That’s when the Park Pass will be available for purchase, granting me exclusive access to ride each Lightning Lane attraction once, along with some fantastic photo opportunities.
Next year, the cost for the premium pass in the Lightning Lane is expected to rise, with fluctuations based on both the day and demand. The price will fall within the bracket of $300 to $400, as reported by Disney representatives.
Starting October 30th, I’m thrilled to share that the pass will become accessible at the magical world of Walt Disney World in sunny Florida! However, it’s important to note that unlike Disneyland Resort, its cost and who can enjoy it are different offerings.
Disney representatives shared that visitors have long requested a versatile, comprehensive pass, similar to what’s offered at other amusement parks for many years. They mentioned that the company plans to tailor this pass based on user input and experience, as stated by their officials.
Theme parks will continue to provide their Lightning Lane Access Package, priced at $32, enabling visitors to reserve specific times for popular rides. Additionally, they offer a Lightning Lane Single Ride Pass, an extra charge that grants access to two attractions not covered by the multi pass package.
The Lightning Lane Premier Pass announcement comes just a week after Disneyland announced price hikes on most of its theme park tickets. While its lowest-tier, one-day, one-park ticket remained at $104, prices for the tickets on more popular days, as well as multiday one-park tickets increased between 5.9% and 6.5%.
Disneyland representatives explained that they regularly adjust prices to ensure an appropriate balance between demand, optimal visitor attendance, and to mirror the worth visitors receive while enjoying the parks.
Walt Disney Company’s theme parks are undergoing transformations due to a decrease in customer interest towards their park division. In the latest quarterly financial report, the company’s “experience” sector (comprising parks, cruise lines, and merchandise) reported an operating income of $2.2 billion, which represents a 3% drop compared to the previous year.
