Disney star defends Blue Ivy, 12, after backlash over 'inappropriate' gown at Mufasa premiere

As a lifestyle expert and mother of two teenage daughters myself, I wholeheartedly stand with Christina Milian on this issue. It’s disheartening to see people criticizing a 12-year-old girl like Blue Ivy Carter, especially when she was attending a movie premiere with her family and looking absolutely radiant.

Christina Milian has spoken up in support of Blue Ivy, Beyoncé’s daughter, after her debut on the red carpet at the Mufasa: The Lion King premiere.

43-year-old Milian appeared as a guest on the Wendy Williams Show on Tuesday, and during the conversation, she was asked for her opinion on Blue’s attire at the previous night’s event. Some people had labeled the 12-year-old’s gold gown as ‘improper.’

Blue donned a gold gown without straps, boasting a long trail, for her public appearance. Accompanying her on the red carpet were her famous mother, aged 43, and her father Jay-Z, who is 55 years old. This event took place merely a day after he faced accusations of sexual assault in a startling civil lawsuit, alleging that he raped a 13-year-old girl.

Initially, she appears stunning. Frankly, it seems unnecessary for anyone to comment on another person’s child, especially a minor. The Disney star expressed this thought.

She’s extraordinarily skilled; she traversed the globe with her mother, leaving little room for doubt. Her brilliance simply cannot be dulled.

Wendy then said that Blue acted ‘so poised’ with Milian agreeing. ‘Let that baby glow!’ she added.

Milian and Williams then both agreed that Blue was not doing ‘too much’ and was not ‘being extra.’

The oldest child of the popular singer stepped out in a shimmering Christian Siriano ballgown, accompanied by their parents, while striking a pose at the red carpet event.

1) The dress boasted a heart-shaped neckline and flowing bodice that was tied up. Her dark hair was arranged in plaits with soft, wavy ends.

For her glamorous look, Blue chose gold eyeshadow, rosy blush, and a glossy red lip.

The gifted newcomer is all geared up for her first starring role in “Mufasa: The Lion King,” and recently, she teamed up with her parents and grandmother Tina Knowles to publicize the movie at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Beyoncé donned a sleeveless, black Balmain dress adorned with metallic gold disks, mirroring the style of her daughter.

After her performance, several reviewers voiced their displeasure over Blue’s costume being considered inappropriate.

Many people are discussing online that Blue Ivy’s dress is inappropriate, but it wasn’t clear to me until I found out she is TWELVE YEARS OLD! It seems more suitable if we avoid dressing a 12-year-old like she’s older than she is.

Blue Ivy looks stunning, yet it surprised me how mature she seemed; I thought she was sixteen. However, upon closer inspection, I realized she’s only twelve years old. So, let her enjoy being a preteen and dress accordingly.

However others disagreed, calling the dress ‘beautiful.’

Everyone should stop harassing Blue Ivy. She’s only 12 years old and her dress looks stunning. Instead, let’s focus our attention on the issue of children participating in beauty pageants. Let’s get serious about this matter.

Could you kindly refrain from attributing odd behavior to children, as tonight was Blue Ivy’s movie premiere. She was accompanied by her family and security personnel. She wore a stunning dress that resembled a contemporary princess, and she matched her mother’s color scheme! At 12 years old, other teenagers typically receive compliments.
