Disney+ Officially Unveils Marvel’s New Avengers Roster

Marvel has revealed the lineup for its next Avengers team on Disney+. Fans have been eagerly discussing Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and the future of the Avengers, especially with the upcoming *Avengers: Doomsday* movie scheduled for December 2026. For months, everyone’s been wondering who would be leading the new team, and a recent Disney+ series may have given us a hint.

The new animated series, *Marvel’s Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team-Up*, recently premiered, giving fans a first look at a fresh Avengers lineup. This crossover combines the worlds of *Spidey and His Amazing Friends* and *Iron Man and His Awesome Friends*, and launched on Disney Channel and Disney+ on October 16th. The series features a new team of heroes working together to defeat the villain Ultron.

A new team of six heroes, featuring Spider-Man and Iron Man, has been assembled. Some of these characters might even join the Avengers in the upcoming *Avengers: Doomsday* movie. Although this team first appeared in a preschool animated series and isn’t officially part of the main Marvel Cinematic Universe, their inclusion in the new Avengers lineup suggests which characters Marvel Studios sees as important for the future.

Every Member of Marvel’s new Disney+ Avengers Team

Spider-Man

As a huge movie fan, I’m really excited about this new animated team-up! It features Spider-Man, or Peter Parker, alongside Iron Man, and it’s cool to see a slightly younger version of Spidey than we’re used to. He actually has his own series already, called *Spidey and His Amazing Friends*, which is set in the *Avengers Team-Up* universe, so it’s great to see that continuity acknowledged.

Since joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2016, Spider-Man has become a key figure for the franchise. While it’s unknown if he’ll be in *Avengers: Doomsday*, the upcoming animated special *Spider-Man: Brand New Day*, releasing next summer, is a fun preview of what’s to come.

Iron Man

The other leader of this new Avengers team is Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man. Though he was just a young boy in earlier stories, Tony has recently become very popular, especially with the release of his new animated series, *Iron Man and His Awesome Friends*.

Iron Man is where the Marvel Cinematic Universe began, and remains incredibly important. Although the Iron Man we knew, played by Robert Downey Jr., is no longer part of the main storyline, Downey Jr. will be back in a new film called *Doomsday*, playing a version of the famous villain Doctor Doom from another universe.

Black Panther

Black Panther joins Iron Man and Spider-Man in their new animated series, Avengers Team-Up. He previously made a few quick appearances in Spidey and His Amazing Friends before taking on a larger role.

The Black Panther mantle, previously held by T’Challa (played by the late Chadwick Boseman), is now being taken up by Shuri, portrayed by Letitia Wright, as the Marvel Cinematic Universe moves forward into the upcoming films *Doomsday* and *Secret Wars*.

Hulk

The Hulk, also known as Bruce Banner (played by Mark Ruffalo in Marvel movies), is a key member of any modern Avengers team. He and Spider-Man have fought alongside each other many times, so it’s natural he’d be included when assembling the Avengers.

The Hulk, as portrayed by Marvel Studios, has been a consistent presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He’s one of the original Avengers who continues to appear in the ongoing film series.

Ms. Marvel

Given Kamala Khan’s potential for a significant role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s logical that she’s now joining the Avengers team in the new animated series.

Iman Vellani plays Ms. Marvel, and the character has quickly become a standout success for the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the release of *Avengers: Endgame*. After teaming up with Captain Marvel in the 2023 film *The Marvels*, Kamala Khan is now prepared to join the Avengers – or potentially a new team of Young Avengers – when they need her.

Captain America

Sam Wilson, as Captain America, completes the latest Avengers lineup. He joins the team with his signature shield and wings to fight Ultron.

Sam Wilson, the MCU’s Captain America, is about to face his biggest challenge yet: leading the Avengers into their first battle under his command. There’s been some suggestion of friction between him and the other heroes, so he’ll need to unite them to defeat Doctor Doom.
