Diptyque Redesigns Its Classic Candle With Refills and New Scents

Summary

  • Diptyque has revamped its iconic candle vessel with a ten percent weight reduction and an all-new refill system
  • The expanded fragrance lineup introduces five new scents including coffee, nettle, black sesame, rhubarb, and shiso
  • A new collection of decorative accessories crafted from borosilicate glass and biscuit porcelain accompanies the launch

Diptyque is updating its original and most famous candle for 2026, focusing on both sustainability and a more modern look. They’ve collaborated with designer Julie Richoz to make slight, elegant changes to the candle’s glass container.

The bottle has been updated with a classic look, now featuring a smooth, oval band of glass around the label area. The label keeps its original black and white design and unique lettering, but with clearer lines. To be more environmentally friendly, the new bottle is 10% lighter and can be refilled. It now comes in packaging made from sustainable, plant-based materials.

Diptyque has added five unique scents to its collection, created by perfumers Alexandra Carlin and Olivia Giacobetti. These new fragrances feature a range of interesting notes – from the cozy warmth of coffee and the crispness of nettle to the rich, toasted flavor of black sesame, the tangy zest of rhubarb, and the complex aroma of shiso. Alongside the scents, Diptyque is also releasing a collection of stylish accessories, including hand-blown glass candle holders, porcelain trays, and uniquely designed matchboxes.

Diptyque is updating its iconic candles and introducing new scents later this year. A refill program for these candles will become available in Fall 2026.
