As a seasoned gamer who has braved the frozen wastelands of Frostpunk back in 2018, I’m absolutely thrilled about the upcoming sequel, Frostpunk 2. Having spent countless hours balancing growth, exploration, and survival, I can confidently say that this game has left an indelible mark on my gaming journey.
Here’s what you get with the two editions of Frostpunk 2.
2018 saw the unveiling of Frostpunk, a strategic masterpiece that swept numerous awards and captivated countless fans like myself. In this frozen world, survival isn’t just about staying alive; it’s about managing growth, exploring the unknown, and striking a delicate balance between these elements. Now, in 2024, 11 Bit Studios is ready to redefine the genre with Frostpunk 2, pushing the boundaries of what post-apocalyptic strategy can be. With a larger world, increased complexity, and challenges that surpass those of its predecessor, this game promises an even more immersive experience for players like us who are eagerly anticipating its release. If you’re considering which edition to add to your collection, keep an eye out for updates – we can’t wait to delve back into this frozen landscape together!
Frostpunk 2 Game Editions
In Frostpunk 2, there are two versions: the standard version (Base game) and the enhanced version (Deluxe game). As its name indicates, the Deluxe game comes with more advanced features compared to the Base game. Given these added benefits, it’s understandable that the Deluxe edition carries a higher price tag, which is typical for such premium versions of games.

What’s included in the Frostpunk 2 Digital Deluxe Edition?
- 3 DLCs
- Early Access to the GAme
- 10% Pre-Order Discount
- Exclusive In-Game Item
- ‘Warm Flesh’ Novella
- Digital Artbook and Soundtrack
In the Frostpunk 2 Digital Deluxe Version, you’ll get not only the main game but also additional content. This package grants you early access to the game, allowing you to play it up to 72 hours prior to its formal launch date.
As a fellow enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that by pre-ordering the game before its September 20, 2024 launch, you’ll be entitled to a 10% discount! But here’s what truly piques my interest – the Deluxe Edition grants you access to not one, not two, but three DLCs after the game has been released. Now, 11 Bit Studios has promised at least three DLCs following the game’s release, though they haven’t disclosed a specific timeline for their arrival yet.
As a delighted fan who’s opted for the Digital Deluxe Edition, I’m eagerly anticipating an exclusive in-game item, though its appearance within the game remains a mystery for now. Alongside this enigma, the ‘Warm Flesh’ Novella, a captivating piece of an upcoming Frostpunk Anthology, will be included in my collection. Lastly, one of the most enticing benefits of my Deluxe Edition purchase is gaining access to the Digital Artbook and the mesmerizing tunes of the Frostpunk 2 Soundtrack.

As a fellow gamer, I’m excited to share that Frostpunk 2 is coming to both PC and Mac platforms! While there are minimum and recommended system requirements for each, don’t worry if your setup isn’t brand new – you can still enjoy the game. However, if you’ve got a more recent system, prepare to be amazed by the stunning, intricate graphics that Frostpunk 2 has to offer!
