Die Hard is on TV tonight to get you in the festive spirit

As someone who’s grown up with the scent of Christmas pine and the soundtrack of John McClane saving the day, I can confidently say that it’s just not Christmas without a good dose of “Die Hard”! This year, Channel 4 is giving us what we want on December 22 at 9pm.

You haven’t truly experienced Christmas until you watch Die Hard, and luckily for you, it’s airing on TV tonight!

Over the years, numerous attempts have been made to replicate it, with Netflix’s popular thriller “Carry-On” being the latest example. However, no film has managed to match the unique charm of the 36-year-old classic, “Die Hard”. (Apologies for potentially reminding you of your age.)

Tonight, December 22nd, you can catch your long-awaited annual viewing of the movie Die Hard starting at 9pm on Channel 4. It won’t be long before it becomes available to stream on Channel 4’s online service following the broadcast.

If you can’t catch the movie tonight, don’t worry! It will be re-aired on Christmas Eve at 9 pm on digital channel 4seven, so you’ll have another chance to watch it then.

Whether you can’t wait until tonight or prefer a different viewing time, you can stream “Die Hard” instantly on Disney+, as it is currently accessible to all subscribers.

Apart from the original “Die Hard” film, the streaming service offers a variety of other “Die Hard” movies for viewing, including “Die Hard 2”, “Die Hard with a Vengeance”, “Die Hard 4.0”, and “A Good Day to Die Hard”. If you’re keen on watching them all in one go, you can do so, though it’s just “Die Hard 2” that maintains the holiday-themed narrative.

If you don’t currently have a Disney+ subscription but are interested in joining, you can opt for their standard plan with ads which costs just £4.99 per month.

There are also ad-free subscriptions available for £8.99 and £12.99.

If you’re not interested in subscribing to Disney+, you can catch “Die Hard 2” and “Die Hard with a Vengeance” over the coming weeks on BBC iPlayer instead.

On Christmas Day, you can catch “Die Hard with a Vengeance” at 9 pm on BBC Three. Meanwhile, “Die Hard 4.0” will be shown on Boxing Day at 10.15 pm and on Saturday, December 28, at 11.05 pm on ITV1.
