Did a Switch 2 Mario 3D game and Zelda remaster just get leaked?
Did Switch 2 just get a massive leak?
If you’re even slightly involved in the gaming sphere, you might have come across news about the Switch 2. This highly anticipated successor to the beloved console was recently unveiled, sparking discussions among fans about potential games slated for release in 2025. However, there seems to be a leak that surfaced today, hinting at a new Mario 3D game and an updated version of Zelda.
Newegg’s website contained multiple Switch 2 leaks
Lately, it appears that some details resembling confidential information were inadvertently published by Newegg, a well-known platform for tech and gaming items such as consoles, computers, and games.
And now they are known for leaks.
As I was browsing through the Nintendo eShop to grab some gift cards for my gaming buddies, I noticed an intriguing detail about the product description. It turned out they were sharing some inside scoop on upcoming Nintendo games slated for release in 2025!
And what else is set to release in 2025? Yep, the Switch 2.
After that exciting leak went viral online, I’ve noticed Newegg has since removed the details. Now, I can’t help but wonder, was it just a guessing game from Newegg about potential games coming out in 2025? Or could they have accidentally leaked some insider information instead?
New Mario 3D and Zelda remastered game leaked for Switch 2
2025 looks promising for gamers like me, with two highly anticipated titles slated for release – a fresh installment of the iconic Mario 3D series and a revamped version of Zelda, aptly named “Zelda Remastered.” Can’t wait!
Ever since Mario: Odyssey came out in 2017, there’s been quite a buzz about when we might see another 3D Mario game. Could it be that a sequel is on the horizon?
Discussion about Zelda has been significant regarding the Switch 2, given that the Switch already hosted games like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Fans have been eagerly asking for some remasters to appear on the Switch, yet they’ve only received a remastered version of Skyward Sword so far.
Instead, people had wished for Nintendo to follow the model of the Mario All-Stars release, featuring three remastered Mario games, yet they opted for a version containing three remastered Zelda games instead.
Previously, they refined games like Windwaker and Twilight Princess, so it’s plausible that these titles might be moved to the Switch 2, along with a potential remake of Ocarina of Time.
What are you hoping to see released on the Switch 2?
