As an ardent fan of Diana Ross, I can confidently say that she is an ageless icon who continues to defy the norms set by society. Grocery shopping in Beverly Hills like it was just another day on the dance floor at Studio 54, Diana proved once again that she’s not just a singer but a timeless symbol of glamour and elegance. Her natural curls, off-the-shoulder black top, and short tan Ugg boots made her look like a disco diva straight out of the ’70s.

Diana Ross proved age is just a number while grocery shopping at Bristol Farms in Beverly Hills.

The Endless Love singer, 80, looked like she was fresh off the dance floor at Studio 54.

I donned a chic off-shoulder black number paired with sleek black leggings, accessorized by a coordinating belt bag – perfect for juggling my shopping bags and waving enthusiastically at fellow enthusiasts.

The I’m Coming Out hitmaker kept her feet happy in a pair of short tan Ugg boots.

Her hair cascaded naturally into its curls, enhancing the iconic disco diva style she became known for during the 1970s.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d say I exuded an energy that belied my years, strolling away from the bustling market with a beaming smile on my face and bounce in my step, feeling youthful and content behind the wheel of my car.

The Theme From Mahogany songstress celebrated her 80th birthday in March.

Diana is the mother of five children: Rhonda (aged 53), a daughter she shares with Motown legend Berry Gordy; Tracee Ellis Ross (aged 51) and Chudney (aged 48), two daughters she had with record producer Robert Ellis Silberstein; and Ross (aged 36) and Evan Ross (aged 35), her sons born to Norwegian entrepreneur Arne Naess Jr.

In her interview for Naomi Campbell’s YouTube series ‘No Filter with Naomi’ in 2021, Tracee expressed that the global icon and pop star Diana Ross, who revolutionized glamour and influenced perceptions of Black women worldwide, is not as impressive to her as her motherly qualities.

‘I’m so close with my mom and my family,’ she added.

Regardless of her widely recognized and timeless stardom as the Ain’t No Mountain High Enough singer, she cherished her role as a mother deeply.

According to Tracee, her mother was exceptionally involved in their lives. She would make sure we woke up for school, joined us for dinner, and provided a sincere, grounded, and authentic family environment at home. (2022)

‘The most important thing to my mother was not fame, it was her children,’ she added.

In a tribute for her special day, the recently chosen Saint Laurent brand representative (with a following of 4.1M on social media) posted an old video of herself singing live a 1992 hit titled “That’s Why I Call You My Friend” in a vintage style.

Over the course of more than seven decades, I’ve been fortunate enough to earn numerous prestigious recognitions. Among them are my inductions into the hallowed halls of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a unique honor that I was lucky enough to receive not once, but twice.

Ross, boasting a remarkable sales record of over 100 million albums, has been honored with a Special Tony Award, two Grammy Awards for Lifetime Achievement, the prestigious Kennedy Center Honors, and the highest civilian award in the United States, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

15-year-old winner of the honorary César Award initially joined the Primettes, a group that later morphed into the Motown sensation known as The Supremes. Over the span of 1959 to 1970, they amassed a total of twelve number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
