Devout Christian WAG announces she is expecting second baby just days before her NRL star husband Max King is set to play in Origin decider

NRL WAG Christy Young has revealed she is pregnant with her second child.

The stylish woman with dark hair, aged 26, shared a touching message via Instagram, where she posted a loving picture of herself tenderly holding her one-year-old child, Hercules. In the photo, Hercules was sweetly displaying an ultrasound strip.

In her caption, Christy expressed, ‘We’re expanding our family once more!’ She included a due date of December, along with a baby and pink heart emoji for added sweetness.

A devout Christian couple happily added a new member, Hercules Maxwell King, to their family last June.

The news arrives mere days prior to the game where Canterbury Bulldogs star, Max King, will make his appearance – an exciting match that many are eagerly awaiting, known as the State of Origin decider.

In December 2023, it was announced that Max and Christy were going to have their first child. Christy posted an endearing video showing Max reacting to the positive result on a pregnancy test.

The heartfelt video additionally displayed the pair hugging and announcing their upcoming baby, as written in the caption: ‘King Baby arrives in 2024.’

As a devoted admirer, I couldn’t help but beam with pride as Christy gracefully displayed her growing belly, cradling in her hands the images from our latest ultrasound scans. This moment marked the commencement of our incredible parenting adventure together.

Upon Baby Hercules’ arrival, the delighted parents once more utilized Instagram to announce their happiness and share it with their followers.

In October 2023, the newlywed pair exchanged vows at the opulent Curzon Hall in Sydney, with their loved ones present to celebrate.

As a devoted admirer, I might express it like this: Throughout our engagement, my partner and I chose to abstain from intimacy, a choice we believe deepened our emotional connection.

Last year, during an interview with 2DayFM’s Hughesy, Ed, and Erin in March, Christy said that she and her group are open about their faith, as it holds great significance for them and is something they don’t hesitate to express openly.

She shared that they discussed the topic of abstinence quite early on, either during their first or second date. In the realm of Christian dating, it’s essential to be upfront about this to avoid wasting time. We didn’t shy away from this discussion and have found it incredibly beneficial for our relationship, particularly in terms of open communication. It’s truly been a positive aspect for us.

Additionally, Christy mentioned that they had first crossed paths at church, and initially, she felt apprehensive about dating Max due to his involvement in the NRL.

As I found myself standing before a professional footballer, my heart skipped a beat and I thought to myself, “Uh-oh, another sports enthusiast – here comes trouble.” She chuckled in response, revealing that our pastor had been the matchmaker in this unexpected encounter.

‘I encountered this person during a service at our local church. At that time, I was residing on the Gold Coast and he happened to be seated directly in front of me. We didn’t exchange words that day, but our pastor arranged for us to meet. If you’re looking for an honest man, consider seeking him out within the congregation.’

It came as a surprise to Max’s fellow team members when they discovered that the team had decided to abstain from sex until marriage, causing some of them to find it hard to accept.

It’s clear that his teammates are supportive… however, at the beginning of their relationship, they seemed skeptical and reacted as though he and his partner were abstaining from sexual activity.

Christy said their spiritual foundation has helped Max on and off the field.

When it’s not primarily about [sex], we find ourselves having wonderful conversations, strengthening our bond, and providing mutual support for one another. It’s as if we’ve unlocked a deeper level of understanding and connection in our relationship.

‘His choice of celibacy strengthens our bond, as it establishes a strong foundation for our relationship.’

Christy said she feels incredibly lucky to have met Max.

I’m incredibly grateful for having crossed paths with Max… It seems as if our personalities complement each other perfectly, and it feels like divine intervention.
