Netflix recently unveiled a sneak peek teaser trailer for the upcoming season 2 of Devil May Cry. This initial glance offers a hint about its potential release date. Originating from Capcom’s popular Japanese video game series, made its animated debut on April 3, 2025, and given the positive reception it received, Netflix decided to greenlight a second season just one week afterwards.

A sneak peek for the second season of Devil May Cry, set to air on Netflix in 2026, has been released, hinting at the highly anticipated confrontation between brothers Dante and Vergil.

In the final episode of Devil May Cry Season 1, Dante and Mary successfully overpower the White Rabbit and prevent its incursion into Earth. However, the story concludes mysteriously as Mary hesitantly betrays Dante due to his unique powers and locks him up. Simultaneously, William Baines initiates an invasion of Hell.

Towards the end of the series, a character with horns who has been featured throughout, breaks free his fellow demon brethren from Uroboros Corporation. He then calls upon them to serve Mundus, the ruler of Hell, after discarding his helmet. It turns out this horned figure is none other than Dante’s living twin, Vergil. Given this revelation, it seems likely that these two will engage in a much-anticipated confrontation in the second season.

Adi Shankar is responsible for developing the animated series Devil May Cry, based on the popular video game franchise. Studio Mir handled the animation production for this project. Previously, Adi Shankar has worked on projects like The Guardians of Justice and Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix. Notably, Studio Mir has also contributed to various animated shows such as The Legend of Korra, Harley Quinn, My Adventures with Superman, and X-Men ’97.

In this revised version, The voice actors for Devil May Cry are Johnny Yong Bosch as Dante, Robbie Daymond as Vergil, and Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary. Unfortunately, Kevin Conroy, who lent his voice to William Baines in the first season, passed away in 2022.
