A modder has cleverly turned Red Dead Redemption 2 into something resembling Elden Ring, even making Uncle the ultimate boss! Despite being released almost eight years ago, Red Dead Redemption 2 remains incredibly popular and influential in the gaming world. With over 82 million copies sold and a staggering 175 Game of the Year awards, it’s still considered one of the greatest games ever made by both critics and players.
While everyone is excited about the upcoming GTA 6, Red Dead Redemption 2 is still considered a gold standard for game development. The game continues to be popular thanks to its exceptional quality and a dedicated fanbase. Players are not only revisiting the game but also enhancing it with player-created modifications, or ‘mods’. These mods range from simple improvements like more realistic clothing to major overhauls that change how the game is played, effectively reinventing the experience.
Red Dead 2 Mod That Turns It Into Elden Ring
A streamer and developer named Blurbs shared a video on Twitter showcasing a mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 that essentially turns it into Elden Ring, with a character called “Uncle” as the ultimate boss. The mod includes several new features, like a unique combat system, exact copies of Elden Ring’s boss cutscenes, different spells, and even summon signs and messages voiced in real-time by viewers on his Twitch channel. The video highlights these features and shows clips of gameplay and cutscenes related to the final boss fight.
The post quickly generated a lot of conversation among players. Many noted this isn’t the first time Blurbs has created content for Red Dead Redemption 2 – they previously made a mod that blended the game with Pokemon, and another that let players view the memories of characters they defeated. Others praised the mod for being original and well-made.

Mods for Red Dead Redemption 2 let players do everything from improve graphics and change settings to add new ways to fight and talk to characters. Some mods even create completely new gameplay experiences. Thanks to these ongoing projects, both dedicated fans and newcomers can continue to enjoy and rediscover this classic Rockstar Games title and the Red Dead series.
After updates were released for the first Red Dead Redemption on newer consoles last year, fans started hoping for an improved version of Red Dead Redemption 2. However, the developers haven’t confirmed if one is in the works. Many players are also curious about a potential Red Dead Redemption 3, but the developers haven’t said anything about that either. It’s still unclear what the future holds for this popular Western series, and we’ll have to wait for official announcements.
