Devastation as Beloved Home and Away Dog Buddy Passes Away: Fans Mourn Their Best Actor

Tributes are pouring in after a beloved Home and Away cast member recently died.

I’m sad to share that my beloved Boxer companion, who graced our screens alongside James Stewart in the TV series from 2016-2019, has sadly left us over the weekend.

His owner Shelley announced the heartbreaking news on social media.

She shared, “My dear friend is no longer with me. For years, we’ve shared countless joyful moments. Among those memories, his stint on ‘Home and Away’ stands out as an exceptional experience for both of us.

He cherished going places above all else. Unfortunately, we had arranged a last vacation to the beach, but sadly, he wasn’t able to join us. Instead, he passed away peacefully at home, with me by his side as he lay in bed. His departure has left a significant void in my heart.

Keeping up with Hollywood has never been so fun and easy.

In June 2016, the dog debuted alongside James Stewart’s character, Justin Morgan, during the show for the very first time.

As the drama series started to zero in on Justin’s relationship with Leah Patterson, portrayed by Ada Nicodemou (James’ real-life partner), his character was gradually sidelined.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m deeply saddened to say goodbye to my trusted companion, the remarkable Buddy. In countless moments, you stood by my side and were an exceptional partner in many scenes we shared together. Your loss leaves a significant void in my heart. – James Stewart

You’ve consistently remembered your lines, never missed a cue, and had an uncanny ability to find poultry – no matter its hiding spot. You’re simply amazing, my friend!

Lynne McGranger expressed sympathy by saying, “I’m truly sorry for your news. Such a lovely companion,” while Sophie Dillman also offered condolences with, “Wishing you an abundance of love. A truly exceptional soul.

Meanwhile, heartbroken fans paid tribute to the dog’s fine ‘acting’ skills.

One grieving fan expressed, “For numerous years, he was the standout performer on Home and Away. Truly exceptional as an actor. He was a wonderful dog; may he find eternal peace and have a joyful journey across the rainbow bridge.

In August, Buddy became the talk of the town when viewers spotted an unusual feature of his during the extended run of the Channel Seven daytime drama.

On a Facebook fan group, someone promptly noted the absence of Justin Morgan’s cherished dog from Summer Bay, which seemed rather enigmatic.

‘What happened to Buddy? Never see him anymore,’ commented one eagle-eyed viewer.

Another comment said, ‘I feel sorry for poor Buddy, it seems like nobody gives him food and hardly anyone takes him out for a walk.’

In response, I mentioned that he was out in the backyard, and then I shared an intriguing idea regarding Boxer’s prolonged disappearance. (First-person narration)

The comment stated, ‘When Buddy overheard Justin singing and strumming his guitar, he bolted off as if he were a scared dog at the sound of fireworks. This is because Buddy has a habit of getting flustered by performances on the show.’

In other places, it was proposed that the ongoing series might benefit from delving deeper into the characters’ personal lives at home.
