The final episode of the popular comedy series *Motherland* will soon be available on Netflix just in time for the holidays. All episodes from the show’s three seasons have been streaming, except for the 2022 Christmas special, which is arriving now.
This episode felt like the perfect way to end things – everyone really liked it. But honestly, it threw a massive curveball at me, and it suddenly got way more serious and emotional than I expected. It definitely changed the whole vibe!
The special will be available on Netflix shortly, and is currently streaming on BBC iPlayer along with the rest of the series.

Now that the show *Motherland* has finished, a spin-off called *Amandaland* has been created. It focuses on Amanda, played by Lucy Punch, as she and her children adjust to a smaller life in South Harlesden (known locally as So-Ha).
The series, which premiered earlier this year, also brings back Joanna Lumley as Amanda’s mother, Felicity, and Philippa Dunne as Anne. Plus, a Christmas special is planned, much to the delight of fans.
Lumley recently announced on *The Chris Evans Breakfast Show* that she’s beginning work on another season of *Amandaland*. She described the show as a wonderful and surprisingly popular hit, and praised Lucy Punch’s performance.
“We’re just about to start seven more episodes and one is a Christmas special for this year.”
Diane Morgan and Paul Ready, known for their roles in *Motherland*, are teaming up again for a new comedy called *Ann Droid*. The show centers on the surprising bond that develops between an older woman and the robot assisting her.
Motherland is available to stream now on Netflix and BBC iPlayer.
