As a longtime fan who has watched Zac Efron grow from his High School Musical days to becoming a versatile actor, I must say that this recent incident in Ibiza has added another layer to his adventurous life story. From swimming pool escapades to onstage performances with DJ Martin Garrix, it seems like the man can’t escape the allure of excitement!
Information has come to light following Zac Efron’s hospital visit last week, which occurred due to an incident at a swimming pool in Ibiza, Spain.
Last Friday, the actor known for “Iron Claw” was taken to the hospital as a preventive measure following a minor accident during swimming at a villa in Ibiza.
Later, the actor posted a picture on his Instagram story Sunday, depicting him bare-chested while working out with a pink exercise ball and weights. Accompanying the image, he penned: “Feeling fit and well – thanks for your kind messages!” Until today, this was all the information that had been disclosed.
However, TMZ broke the news stating that at around early hours of Friday, the 36-year-old actor, Efron, accidentally submerged himself in a pool while with friends. He apparently struck the pool’s bottom with his chest, causing him to swallow a significant amount of water into his lungs. For a brief moment, he seemed confused, was removed from the pool by on-site security, and subsequently went to the hospital for precautionary measures, according to their report.
Efron’s representatives didn’t respond Monday to The Times’ request for comment.
The actor has returned to the U.S., according to TMZ’s report on Tuesday. He flew privately on Monday and touched down in Miami.
The evening prior to the tragic diving incident, the star from “High School Musical” was performing at a hotel nightclub alongside renowned DJ Martin Garrix.
More recently, Zac Efron featured in the Netflix exclusive film titled “A Family Affair,” sharing the screen with Joey King and Nicole Kidman. This movie is a heartwarming May-December romantic comedy that focuses on the blossoming relationship between Kidman’s character and the younger Efron’s role.
The actor who played the lead role in “17 Again” is rumored to be joining the Disney remake of the 1987 comedy “Three Men and a Baby,” currently in development. At this point, only his name has been mentioned for the cast, which will follow in the footsteps of Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg, Ted Danson, and many diapers from the original production.
