The eagerly awaited science fiction role-playing shooter game, “Destiny: Rising,” is scheduled for a worldwide release on August 28, 2025. This marks the first mobile game in Bungie’s famous Destiny series. The development and publication of this game will be handled by NetEase Games.
Clues about a mobile version of Destiny surfaced as early as September 2021, when job postings on their site suggested the same. The formal announcement didn’t come until October 2024, revealing a closed alpha test for players in the USA and Canada. This was showcased during the NetEase Games 520 Online Conference in 2025.
Players can switch between first-person or third-person views in Destiny: Rising
Rising” offers the iconic action and storytelling from the Destiny universe tailored for mobile devices with touch controls. This game is set in an alternate timeline of the Destiny world, where you assume various characters’ roles to protect a futuristic Earth.

This game offers a blend of first-person and third-person viewpoints, allowing players to choose their preferred way to engage in its thrilling firefights. I’m excited about the game modes, as they include not only the traditional ones reminiscent of Destiny, but also some fresh, new additions as well.
Based on the store’s description, you can anticipate traditional Player versus Environment (PvE) campaign missions, challenging 6-player cooperative strikes, and a blend of fresh PvP and PvE modes designed for repeat play on mobile devices. Additionally, it offers an array of potent weapons and trait combinations to tinker with, promising quite the enjoyable experience.
One notable feature is the diverse array of characters, each with their unique histories, traits, and abilities. The game extends beyond battle scenes by incorporating online multiplayer aspects such as clans, various party game options, and communal areas that are customizable. Additionally, controller compatibility is guaranteed.
Currently, you can pre-register for the game worldwide through both Google Play Store (for Android users) and App Store (for iOS users). A pre-registration event is currently ongoing, so make sure to join in before Destiny: Rising officially launches globally in August.
