The eagerly awaited science fiction role-playing shooter game, “Destiny: Rising,” is scheduled for a worldwide release on August 28, 2025. This will mark the first mobile game in Bungie’s renowned Destiny series. The development and publication of this game will be handled by NetEase Games.
The first signs of a Destiny mobile game surfaced as early as September 2021, through job postings on their site. The formal announcement was made in October 2024, accompanied by a closed alpha test for players residing in the USA and Canada, which was presented at the NetEase Games 520 Online Conference 2025.
Players can switch between first-person and third-person views
Rising” for mobile devices delivers the distinctive sci-fi action and dramatic narrative found in the universe of Destiny, while introducing fresh touch controls. This game is set in an alternate timeline of the Destiny world, where you’ll assume the roles of various characters to protect a future Earth.

This game seamlessly blends first-person and third-person viewpoints, allowing players to enjoy its thrilling firefights from their preferred angle. I’m excited about the variety of gameplay modes, as it includes not only the original Destiny modes but also some exciting new ones.
According to the store description, you can anticipate traditional PvE campaign missions, challenging 6-player cooperative strikes, as well as a blend of fresh PvP and PvE modes designed for repeat play on mobile devices. Additionally, you’ll find an array of potent weapons and trait combinations to tinker with, making it seem quite entertaining.
A standout feature is the diverse array of characters, each with unique histories, traits, and abilities. The game offers more than just combat, as it includes online multiplayer options such as clans, party game modes, and communal spaces that can be tailored to your preference. Additionally, controller compatibility will be available.
As I type this, I’m thrilled to announce that you can now pre-register for the game worldwide! You can do this on both Android and iOS devices through the Google Play Store and App Store. Remember, there’s an ongoing pre-registration campaign, so jump on board before Destiny: Rising officially launches globally in August. Don’t miss out on being a part of this exciting journey!
