Destiny 2’s Sundered Doctrine dungeon release time and rewards

In the gaming world of Destiny 2, I’m readying my gear as the Sundered Doctrine is about to drop, leading me straight into Savathûn’s Throne World once more. It’s time to embark on a new adventure!

On February 4th, the expansion “Destiny 2: Heresy” was launched, introducing fresh storyline content, activities, and a wealth of new prizes for gamers. The initial act of Heresy introduced significant modifications to the game, including enhancements to Exotics. But what stands out most is the announcement of a new dungeon – the Sundered Doctrine. This is set to debut on February 7th, and with it will come a competition known as the “World First race,” where one Fireteam will emerge victorious.

When does the Sundered Doctrine dungeon open?

On February 7th, the new dungeon is set to open at 9 a.m Pacific Time or 12 p.m Eastern Time. As the dungeon becomes accessible, players will start their competition to be the first Fireteam to conquer the dungeon within the initial 48 hours. To participate in this race, players must engage the dungeon using Contest Mode, which significantly boosts the challenge level.

For players to access the dungeon, they must possess a Power Level above 1995 and have completed both The Final Dungeon Key and The Drowning Labyrinth quest. This is not going to be an easy task, given the high level of difficulty, as several items, powers, and advantages will be inactive within the dungeon.

The list of disabled aspects is:

  • Microcosm
  • Lord of Wolves
  • Edge of Concurrence
  • Edge of Action
  • Edge of Intent
  • Volatile Marksman Artifact mod’s boost
  • Auto-Loading Holster perk
  • Spirit of the Necrotic and Spirit of the Filament perks from the Warlock Solipsism Exotic

What are the rewards for completing the dungeon?

Those who successfully conquer the Sundered Doctrine dungeon within the upcoming 48 hours can look forward to an array of prizes waiting for them. Among these rewards is a freshly minted Exotic Weapon, specifically the Finality’s Auger, which falls under the category of Linear Fusion weapons.

Additionally, there are fresh armor options tailored to each character type, along with numerous new weapons up for grabs. Completing the dungeon within 48 hours earns players unique rewards such as a distinctive badge, a commemorative trophy, and an exceptional weapon that was previously mentioned.

Twitch rewards for the rest of us

Even though some of us might hesitate to take on the initial challenge of the Sundered Doctrine Contest Mode dungeon world, there are Twitch rewards up for grabs. Instead of jumping in yourself, you can simply tune in to DungeonZone streams on Twitch, YouTube, or TikTok and gather a few rewards by just watching.

  • Trigonic Amber Emblem – Available to all viewers who watch for more than one hour on Feb. 7 after linking their Twitch and Bungie accounts.
  • Dark Emblem – Available to viewers who watch for more than two hours between Feb. 7 and 11.
  • Heretical Halation Emblem – Available to viewers after gifting a sub or subscribing to a participating Twitch streamer’s channel.

The competition for the World First completion of the Sundered Doctrine from Destiny 2 has begun, and it’s thrilling to imagine these groups of players facing all challenges in the fresh dungeon head-on.
