Bungie has unveiled Act II of “Destiny 2: Heresy,” enriching the game with fresh activities, five new weapons from the Heretical Arsenal, additional artifact mods, and a host of other features. The popular event, Guardian Games, is also making a comeback for another round of intense competition.
Act II of Heresy introduces a fresh three-player engagement titled ‘Court of Blades’. Here, Guardians must unite to confront progressively tougher groups of adversaries in a bid to seize the throne of the Taken King. This activity is reminiscent of Destiny 1’s Court of Oryx and incorporates rune systems to boost your gameplay and prepare you for more demanding battles ahead.
As a gamer, I can’t hide my excitement as Guardian Games make their grand comeback! Once again, Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters are ready to lock horns for some class-based supremacy in an array of tests. This time around, we’ve got the pulse-pounding ‘Rushdown’, a boss rush-style activity that brings together the toughest battles from the Destiny 2 campaigns, Seasonal story missions, and Exotic missions.
As I delve deeper into this thrilling competition, the challenges get tougher, and there are three distinct modes to pick from, each offering a unique gaming experience. The anticipation is building – let the games begin!
Finishing at least three activities in any game mode ensures a drop of a Guardian Games weapon, and mastering Expert mode offers the opportunity to acquire fully Masterworked Guardian Games weapons. Furthermore, the Moments of Triumph event persists, honoring Guardians’ achievements during the year known as “The Final Shape“. Everyone is welcome to participate for a shot at unique prizes and the MMXXIV Title.
By meeting specific objectives by May 6th, you’ll be eligible to buy merchandise from the Bungie Store, such as the Moments of Triumph T-Shirt if you complete the Moments of Triumph T-Shirt Token Triumph, the Moments of Triumph Light and Darkness Pin for achieving the Light and Darkness Triumph, and the MMXXIV Title Pin upon completing the MMXXIV Title.
Currently, “Destiny 2: Heresy Act II” is active, with “Heresy Act III” scheduled for release on April 1st. The “Rite of the Nine” event introduces three fresh dungeons (Prophecy, Spire of the Watcher, and Ghost of the Deep) for exploration, along with updated weapons themed after the Nine and a reworked Sunless Cell strike from the original “Destiny”. Additionally, a new player versus player mode titled ‘Heavy Metal’ featuring vehicles has been added.
