Descenders Next Is a Follow-up to Descenders, Coming 2025
As an avid fan of adrenaline-pumping sports games that push the boundaries of speed and skill, I can hardly contain my excitement for Descenders Next! With its stunning visuals, procedurally generated environments, and the introduction of new disciplines like snowboarding and mountainboarding, this follow-up to Descenders is shaping up to be a thrilling ride.
Game developer RageSquid unveiled the sequel to Descenders, titled Descenders Next, focusing on an exhilarating downhill bike ride at high speeds.
The forthcoming game will introduce a variety of activities, not only bicycles, but also skateboards, snowboards, and additional ones as well.
RageSquid said, in a statement:
“Players will progressively dominate the icy peaks using smooth, fluid snowboarding moves initially, then switch to the rugged terrain of mountainboarding in the highlands. Each sport offers unique sensations and handling, so players must adapt and excel at every corner of the game world ‘Next’.”
The settings are automatically created, offering a variety of puzzles, treasure hunts, and speed tests. You can watch the unveiling video below for more information.
While the exact launch date for Descenders Next remains undetermined, it’s set for release in 2025. It’s also been hinted that there may be preliminary testing sessions taking place towards the end of this year.
