Descendants 5 Title Revealed: Meet the New Villains and Heroes of Wicked Wonderland!

Disney’s much-anticipated fifth film now officially bears a name, as evidenced by a behind-the-scenes video revealing the cast’s exciting unveiling.

Kylie Cantrall poses a question to her fellow star Malia Baker in a shared video: “Shall we spill the beans?” To which Baker replies affirmatively by nodding, and they both continue to disclose the title of the upcoming film. After a comical cymbal crash, the title emerges as “Descendants: Wicked Wonderland“, followed by the rest of the main cast enthusiastically joining the scene. The movie is set for release in 2026.

In February, the fifth part of the widely loved Descendants series started filming, which had begun in April. Since then, several casting announcements have been made, featuring many beloved actors from before, such as Cantrall and Baker. Notably, they will portray Red (the daughter of the Queen of Hearts) and Chloe Charming (the daughter of Cinderella and King Charming) in the upcoming film.

In an exciting twist, I’m thrilled to learn that the children of some beloved Disney characters will be joining the cast for the upcoming sequel, “Descendants: Wicked Wonderland.” Picking up from the events in “The Rise of Red,” this story delves into the post-adventure lives of our beloved heroines and how they navigate their new realities. Given the title’s revelation, it’s clear that the magical realm of Wonderland will be front and center in this new tale, with an intriguing antagonist attempting to seize control over its enchanting power sources.

Fans of the series will recall thatThe Rise of Red concluded with a troubling statement: “Actions taken to modify time’s tapestry have repercussions.” In the upcoming story, Wicked Wonderland, Red and Chloe grapple with the aftermath of their past meddling as they strive to protect Wonderland, while simultaneously dealing with the ripples caused by their previous alterations of time.

Several Characters Are Joining Descendants 5

When Disney’s “Descendants” franchise debuted in 2015, it initially concentrated on the offspring of some of its iconic villains such as Maleficent from “Sleeping Beauty,” Jafar from “Aladdin,” and Cruella de Vil from “101 Dalmatians.” As the Descendants world grew, additional characters have been introduced to the storyline, with characters from “The Little Mermaid,” “Peter Pan,” and “The Princess and the Frog” set to appear in “Wicked Wonderland,” among others.

In this upcoming movie, Alexandro Byrd takes on the role of Luis Madrigal, who is the son of Luisa Madrigal from the film “Encanto”, while Brendan Tremblay portrays Max Hatter, the child of Maddox Hatter and the grandchild of the Mad Hatter from “Alice in Wonderland”. Moreover, Captain Hook’s daughter, Hazel Hook, will make an appearance, with Kiara Romero playing her. Lastly, Zavien Garrett is cast as Felix Facilier, who is the son of the villain Dr. Facilier from “The Princess and the Frog”.
